Jonathon, one of our residents, joined our first monthly paddle tennis session at Te Amo Padel and loved every minute.
On Wednesday 14 October, Jonathon, one of our Solace Housing residents, joined us at Te Amo Padel at The Hayes for our new monthly paddle tennis session.
Paddle tennis is a fast, friendly game played in doubles on a small court with glass walls, so the ball stays in play and rallies keep going. It is easy to pick up, and Jonathon was soon moving around the court, chasing down shots and enjoying the rallies with staff and fellow tenants.
Jonathon really enjoyed the session, and it was great to see him getting active, having fun and spending time with others in the Solace community.
We will be running paddle tennis every month. If you would like to join Jonathon on court next time, speak to your support worker to register your interest. All you need is suitable sportswear and trainers.
